First of all, in this update, we have good news for You as well some info about the actual situation in our country (Poland) related to the war on Ukraine.
We will start with the good news first

SITUATION IN OUR COUNTRY…
Ok, now it’s time to talk a little bit more about Situation in our country related to the war in Ukraine.
As most of You probably know, horrible things are happening in the World. Our neighbours Ukraine are during the war with Russia. We post a few days ago our official Statement about that on our social media, but we will post it again below:
We could add nothing more. We are a small indie studio, but we just felt some duty to say something official way about that.
FOR NOW, THE SITUATION IN OUR COUNTRY IS STABLE AND WE COULD CONTINUE OUR WORK BUT…
What is going on around is still affecting our morale, especially that we are living only 100km from the Ukrainian borders and we would like to help if that is only possible. But dry facts firstly:
–Already the 790 thousand people from Ukraine pass our country’s borders. ( there are some info that it could be soon even 2 million people in the next weeks or months) So Just imagine that situation (Poland itself has like only 38 million citizens)
–Inflation in Poland even before the war was about 10% yearly.
-Because of war, prices of fuels in Poland are increased like 20-30% and there are some predictions that it could raise even more. So even moving from place to place is more expensive now.
–Our national Currency is like 15-20% weaker than it was before the war. That means all services that are provided from other countries will be like 20% more expensive for us (like voice actors, servers, marketing etc.)
–Sanctions against Russian country works both ways, so there could be situations (We HOPE NOT!) that platforms like steam or epic will close their services in Russia so We won’t be able to sell the game to huge publicity there. Please remember that it of course won’t affect any of our Russian supporters as the keys to You will be sent By e-mail or with a DRM-free version of the game.
The good news is that we are releasing our game all over the world, So our income will be in foreign currencies. The problem is that it will be after Release, until that we are mainly basing on our national currency, so everything is just more expensive.
SUMMARIZATION – WILL ALL OF IT AFFECT THE RELEASE DATE?
At this moment – No. We can work in a stable way for now and aim for the game Release still for 2022.
But Numbers are really horrible We can’t promise You that Release won’t be delayed to 2023 if that situation will be going worse, because of inflation, weak Polish Zloty and all really dangerous events.
We hope You understand that. When starting game development we didn’t even think about situations like global pandemics or … War. That’s a really hard time we are living in now, especially to create games or art. When making art You and the whole of Your Team have to be happy and motivated, it’s really hard when all these things are happening around you. You then spend most of Your time-solving problems that even didn’t exist before. (for example, earning more funds that just evaporated because of the whole that situation)
We could promise for sure that we are working on a project 80% of our time and in next month We will Update You with more details about What we worked last time and what is the game progress. 🙂
WHEN DO WE POST THE NEXT UPDATE ABOUT WORK PROGRESS?
We have been working last 2 weeks on recording Polish voice-overs. We have almost all of it prepared. We worked face to face with voice actors to get the best results and the game will be tested firstly on that polish voice-overs, then based on that “emotional base” there will be English voice-overs records done 🙂 But more about it we will talk in a Gamedev Diary update next month 🙂
Try to keep a positive attitude in that hard times and try to help people that need help the most, even if it is just using Your voice.
